Sunday School
Grow in Faith at Advent Kids!
Sunday School occurs at our 10am worship time.
Sunday School classes happen during the10am. worship services September through June for students 3 years of age through 5th grade. Children younger than 3 can go into the nursery.
Advent’s Sunday School program has three goals for our students – know, grow, and show:
• Knows the word
• Grows in Faith, and
• Shows service
Each year, in addition to their classroom activities, our Sunday School Students participate in several service projects such as making cards for Christmas meal baskets, planting bulbs around the church grounds, collecting toys and school supplies for needy families, planting and
harvesting vegetables for the Volunteers of America Food Bank, and collecting money to help feed children in Haiti as part of Trinity/HOPE.
Sunday School students also participate in a children’s Christmas play, make special holiday crafts, and have a special end-of-the year worship service.
Sunday School & Nursery Schedule
8:30am and 10am .– Nursery is open for children age 3 and under.
10am- Nursery Open and Sunday School
All Children are to be dropped off by a parent or guardian up to 5 minutes before 10am worship starts. Please do not have your child find their own way to class. You will need to sign them in and out with their teacher. We want to keep our kids as safe as possible.
Children 2nd grade and above will be walked back to worship in time to share communion together with their families. Teachers will stand at the back of the sanctuary to ensure that all students find their families.
The Nursery is available for children 3 and younger. Children can be dropped off in the nursery at any point during the service. If no children are in the nursery within the first 15 minutes, volunteers are allowed to leave a note and possible a cell phone number to reach them on in worship. Parents are allowed to supervise children in the nursery if you need a break from worship.

Sunday School & Nursery Volunteers Needed
We need volunteers! Your support is vital to the Sunday School and Nursery ministries.
Volunteers can serve as teachers, substitute teachers, classroom helpers, or nursery
helpers. You can help clean toys or wash laundry for the nursery. Or you can help with
one of our special programs such as the Christmas Play, Advent Crafts, Easter Crafts,
End of Year program or bulb & vegetable planting. To volunteer, contact Katie VanBeek at
